The limitless scope of the subject was an imperative factor that weighed in my decision to choose Electronics and Electrical engineering for my degree. Having completed my graduation and gained substantial work experience, the same passion prompted me to pick the Prude University for a master’s in ECE.

As an ardent learner, I have continually supplemented my college education through additional courses and certification. Attending the robotics workshop at the student boot camp in the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur and getting involved in a variety of advanced projects was one of the most gratifying learning experiences I ever had. Such experiences were formative to my confidence. When I built things from scratch for my academic projects, and later when I got a job, these experiences proved handy.

My college education gave me a chance to work on many exciting projects. The first one was an Elevator Enhancement System that focused on minimizing the overall power consumption. Researches have shown that the wastage of power in elevators is caused by suboptimal human inputs which makes the machine cover an extra distance. My project addresses these issues effectively with the help of IR sensors to automate the decisions. An algorithm was also incorporated to cater to the logistical demands and make the elevator work on stop-time without exclusively relying on the user. The mechanism also used a microchip to optimize the overload aspects and to reduce power usage by yet another factor.

I have made the best attempts to serve the community since my student days. Being a member of the NSS (National Service Scheme), a student volunteering program, I have helped organizations arrange seminars and workshops, and implement the Government’s public welfare campaign like the Swatch Bharath Abhiyan. I have also taken free entrance coaching classes for students from rural areas in association with an NGO.

While pursuing my graduation, I got appointed as an intern at BSNL, a state-owned telecommunications company. The training endowed me with the pragmatic know-how of the Switching and Broadcast technology and practical insights into the functioning of mobile broadband mechanisms. The training perfectly complemented my theoretical knowledge with practical expertise. The skills I imbibed proved their worth later during my professional life.

After graduation, I joined DigCom Ltd as an electrical engineer. Here I was able to diversify my professional experience by working on Networking and Security Technology. The stint reinforced my understanding of 3G & 4G Communication, Network Security, Satellite communication Technologies, and various other pertinent fields. I had ample opportunities to work closely with veteran professionals and learn the best practices and procedures of the industry from them.

While contemplating my career prospects, I recognized the need to equip myself with advanced learning to realize the career of my aspirations. I have chosen a Master’s in Electronics and Communication to add layers of higher-order knowledge and skills to the education I have already acquired.  I believe that expanding the boundaries of my acumen and exploring deeply about this discipline will bolster my employability. Considering these advantages, I decided on further studies as the first step to leveling up my career.

The US, being the hotbed of electronic innovations, happens to be the ideal destination for pursuing progressive education in any technological subject. With a lot of world-class companies, the exposure that the universities of the US can offer is unparalleled. Besides, the cultural diversity of the country will enhance my global perspective significantly. In light of these reasons, I concluded that the United States would be the best option for me.

My probing revealed that Prude University would be the most suitable spot for my educational pursuit.
